Brilliant job. I can most definitely see this scene happening off-camera, and I love the dark/honest outlook you provide on Tish, on Jack, and on their situation. I love the banter between Jack and Tish, the way they hate their situation but try to banter and make it bearable. And their musings on the little things, like Chinese food--so believable.

Also, this part:

"The Doctor was there?"

"Oh yes." Jack's expression turned dark. "He pleads for my life so much more prettily than I do."

So delightfully angsty.

So, in other words... amazing fic, unique viewpoint, very well-written, IC, and full of spot-on angst. This is definitely going in my memories.
