This. This is just incredible. I've been watching that episode over and over and never even thought about the fact Jack wasn't on the bridge when time ran back.
I love the idea of it being him shielding the ship that let its inhabitants remember (or, in the case of the guards, stay dead – something else I hadn't thought of).
I love the touch of Jack the torturer in his plans for the Master
And I love the way he's been mourning his team and now realises they're alive after all – which makes sense of his decision to go back to them rather than stay with the Doctor – and his 'screw the Master' bit.
