I've this theory about how to see whether a fic is written by someone who actually reads novels in English. It goes like this: make me read it. If I need a dictionary, then the writer has some l33t vocab skillz :D *bows down* (I've studied English as a foreign language for 8 years. Many fic-writers use so few synonyms and describe so little that I never need a dictionary reading their stuff.)
That is to say, thank you. For writing something realistic, non-sappy and also very funny at times! ("She was beautiful, impossible, effortlessly dramatic... and quite hopelessly trapped out of her time.
He could identify with that.")
And thank you for teaching me a couple of new words. I had to check out urbandictionary.com to find out what a "raspberry" was ;)
