There is good stuff out there if you look for it, but it depends on how your tastes run. If you're into Jack/Ianto, you're fine; if not, it gets a bit trickier.... ;)

Yeah, Jack really is a pragmatist, but he's also a very social beast and I think that he just likes having people around, especially if he gets to pick them himself (have to balance the decorative with the practical, after all!). He is very fond of them, but I suspect he was fond of all of those that he's tucked into those cryo-drawers in his little pet cemetary employee morgue so far. It's one of the downsides to being immortal - you do tend to outlive everybody, but if you shut yourself away from the world you'll miss out on an awful lot of positives.
