I'm new to the fandom and have been going through backlogs of all the fic I can find. I've read a lot of really goods ones in the last three weeks but this one was just... it was perfect! Absolutely beautiful. I love the camaraderie between them and the sort of melancholy from Jack. And I really love the smartness of the idea that Jack's first language isn't English and may not even have evolved yet. Bravo!
