"Okay, first thing?" Jack's gaze was sharp, all casual flirtation abruptly gone. "This is not the TARDIS."
Martha frowned, feeling a little off-balance. "I know that."
"No." He shook his head. "I don't think you do. This is my world, my rules. Torchwood deals with consequences and we can't always play nice. If you want to be on my team, there's a few things you need to get used to."
"Right." She nodded, deciding that she could deal with this. "Like what?"
"The Doctor would never ask you to kill." Jack pushed a gun across the desk. "I probably will."
