Small, but a perfect speciman of its kind. I hadn't seen it pointed out in any other SW fic that the Jedi really didn't seem to have much choice about becoming Jedi, & that at least some of them must be resentful & bitter about it--besides Anakin, I mean.
I first encountered your TW fic at Teaspoon, & by the time I read "Small Sacrifices" I realized that your approach was realistic & unsentimental. It's a classic question: one innocent life for many more, though usually in fic the answer is somehow avoided. I was pleased to see a writer *not* avoid the answer for a change, not try to excuse or minimize the horrific nature of the choice, & write a beautifully tragic piece from that initial idea.
& there I go running off at the keyboard again. Suffice it to say that you're a very fine writer.
