Notes: During the writing of something else, I suddenly needed to know where Jack was when time was resetting itself. A quick bit of rewatching confirmed that he was still down in the reconfigured TARDIS, of course, and that led to wondering just how much his unique relationship with the space-time continuum would play into his perception of things. It would have made for an awkward lump of exposition in the original story, so it's been calved off into this so that I can get it out of my head. :)

Notes: Discussing The Last of the Time Lords with mimarie, it occurred to us that by the end of that lost year, for all that Jack may like and respect Martha, he'll probably have known her sister far longer and far better; it is, after all, hard not to bond with someone who is quite literally spoon-feeding you. This bunny followed on soon after. :) Unusually for one of my fics, I think it may spawn a sequel at some point.

Notes: And now for something a little different. This one has been lurking around in my brain ever since I saw Cyberwoman, resisting all efforts to exorcise it in drabble form. I have no trouble with the idea that the Torchwood crew could miss Lisa down in the depths of the Hub – I work in a massive originally-Victorian-but-constantly-updated collection of buildings with vast numbers of corridors, sub-basements and storerooms (we even have pterodactyls!) and if I wanted to lose something large for a few decades I don't doubt that I could – but a nagging bunny wanted to know what might have happened had things gone differently and Jack found her before Doctor Tanizaki showed up....
