I think we just had an earthquake! Don't get many of those in London.... :D

(some very noticable juddering for about 10 seconds or so, nothing fell over here though I wouldn't be surprised if there was some minor damage elsewhere. clanwilliam and I were most bemused....)

Well, it's all done. Complete factory restore and reinstall of every last thing, but the problems are fixed. And the Kiwi techie was a saint from start to finish.

We were on the phone for 9 1/2 hours. I think that qualifies as an engagement.

I thought Tim was having a seizure because the bed shook so much! I am now stuck between feeling excited that we had an earthquake, worried that anything might have been damaged and really wanting to go to sleep but completely unable to.

I managed to sleep through it. Though I suppose I ought to open the loft and see if there is light peeking through from any dislodged ridge tiles, as storms have done for those in the past, so they'll probably gleefully fling themselves groundwards at the excuse of a quake.
