And so, 2006 draws to a close with... gastroenteritis. Lovely. The weather is sufficiently grotty that I'm not greatly enthralled by the prospect of venturing outside for midnight, but I could really live without the need to stay within 3 metres of the loo at all times. Haven't actually thrown up in 24 hours, which is good, but other symptoms are carrying on as best they can given the rather empty state of my gut.

Am currently surviving on watered-down apple juice. If I'm feeling particularly brave, I may try something solid-but-bland later - I see much dry toast and poached eggs in my immediate future. Oh well, at least I have the new DVD player to keep me occupied....

Is it awful to say that at least you've stopped puking at last? I am sending you determination, strength, soft loo rolls, rather a lot of red wine - which you may push aside at will - and the thought that in just over a week's time, when you will be feeling much better, we'll be watching John in tights? In panto? In Cardiff? And then you're going to have to show me where the entrance to the hub is? Um... I'm not that drunk, honestly? Hope you're feeling better soon. And btw? I know you haven't read the books yet, but let me comfort you with the thought that... you are a very good judge of character - even fictional ones. ok? ;D (It's champagne cocktails for christmas breakfast, that's what it is - I slept on the sofa because he was snoring and then had the 3 year old wanting to know if I can get an R/c dumper truck out of its box, at 6am! Does wonders for the constitution...) Hope the new year starts better than the old one finished for you. What am I saying? JB in tights...
